Free shipping now being offered to all customers of Liberto's Art Gallery. Artist Maria Liberto Bessette, a prior resident of Dover, DE, and current resident of Coastal Southeast, North Carolina. I love to capture wildlife, landscape and still life images with pen/ink, acrylic and especially oil paints. Her drawing and painting skills were developed early in life with the guidance of her artistic parents.

Maria reflects on her artistic vision:
“My artist eyes continually embrace art and nature. For me the two are deeply entwined. Nature is all around us and not limited by man. Imagine art without nature as subject matter for artists. Combining my creativity and love of nature is my ultimate expression as an artist.”

Maria has won many regional awards and has been accepted into many art shows. She is a great supporter of the awareness of the arts the creative spirit continually pursues other artistic avenues and expanded her artisan wares with Floorcloths (painted canvas rugs) and Coastal Cottage Soaps eight years ago.

Prior to moving to NC, Maria coordinated the Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic who paint weekly and hold exhibitions. She is a member of Wilmington Art Asso, Wilmington NC, Cameron Art Museum, Delaware by Hand, Biggs Museum of Amerian Art, National League of American Pen Women, Mispillion Art League, Delaware Agricultural Museum, Dover Art League and other art organizations. Her work is also part of the Delaware Folk Art Collection, Blue Ball Barn, Alapocas Run State Park, Wilmington, DE.
