Scene is of one of the last few days of the Port Hahon Lighthouse on the Delaware Bay near Little Creek, Delaware. In it's hayday, Port Mahon was home to oystering fleets. This fourth lighthouse erected on this spot was built in 1903. The site for this beacon was chosen the United States Life Saving Service and in operation through WWII. It was destroyed by fire and never replaced. Today you can see the remains are a few steel pilings protruding from the water at low tide.
